Wikipedia was down for a few hours yesterday, and the reason for that is because some one had the case of dumbs to sever the fiber cables connecting the site's servers in Florida.
The Telegraph reports that Wikipedia is adamant the incident isn't a result of foul play. It was more likely an inept laborer who accidentally cut two over land cables that run between Tampa and Virginia. Thankfully the outage only lasted a few hours. [
