Microsoft Surface is probably the most exciting products we've been hearing about, and its gearing other PC makers to keep up. Tech In 5 has obtained what it appears to be leaked slides of the forthcoming Lenovo "Windows 8 ThinkPad Tablet 2". The Surface has competition already.
Lenovo goes on to compare the Windows 8 ThinkPad Tablet to an iPad though its real competition is Microsoft Surface. The tablet will be packing an Intel Cloverview Dual Core Atom Processor. They are known for being notorious battery killers, but Lenovo thinks it can get 10 hours out of the tablet.
The 10.1 inch tablet is 9.8 mm thick, which is slightly more than the 9.3mm on the Surface and it weighs 24 ounces. The screen has a 1366 x 768 resolution which is slightly higher than 720p but lower than Surface's 1080p display. Lenovo's tablet also has 2GB of memory, built in stereo speakers, an HD front facing camera, NFC and a fingerprint reader.
Like the Surface, there's no word on Pricing, but we can probably expect this sometime in October.[
