The Microsoft Surface Tablet is still shrouded in one mystery: how much will it cost? But on Wednesday, a Swedish website Webhallen listed a retail price for the upcoming tablet: 6,900 Swedish kronor, which is $1,003.51 in U.S. currency, which is RM3,181.91 in today's exchange rates.

The $1,003 pricetag is for the ARM powered tablet which runs Windows RT with 32GB of storage. The Microsoft Surface Pro, a higher end unit packing 128GB of disk space running Windows 8 will reportedly go for $2,152 or RM6,827. That's on the pretty steep side.

What do you think? Will Microsoft start pricing their machines at $1000 and up? Hopefully, no. It sounds way too expensive.
