The new iPod touch that's due to be released this fall will feature a 4-inch screen just like the upcoming iPhone. According to Japanese blog Macotakara, the new device will also run on the A5 processor--the one that the iPhone 4S is using--and it will have a case with an aluminum back similar to the iPad's. The new iPod touch will be available in black and white, and it'll also feature a hole on the lower end of its back (as to why, we don't know). Of course these are all the rumors unleashed before its launch, because these details haven't officially been confirmed.
