The original iPad, in concept, was bigger and fatter than we ever imagined. BuzzFeed FWD has real pictures of the prototype and compared it with the iPad 2. Thank goodness they managed to shrink that beast.

Taking a look at these two iPad side-by-side, the Prototype 035 iPad looks more like the old white MacBook than any iPad. And it is thick:



The difference is almost an inch. It's only been less than a decade since the prototype has been made but it already looks like it was made decades ago.
