We've already seen the first pic ever posted on the world wide web. But what about the first picture for Instagram? Before its $1 billion sale to Facebook and its 30 million registered users, the pic above you see was the first Instagram photo ever taken, of a foot and a dog.

The shot was featured in a blog post on Monday by Instagram HQ, where they celebrated two years to the day of the first photo uploaded to the photo sharing network.

Though this isn't exactly the photo's first appearance on the web.A Nov. 2011 post to Quora asks about the granddaddy of all Instagram shots and it was replied by Jessica Zollman linking the shot being snapped by Kevin Systrom, Instagram's co-founder and CEO.

Instagram community manager Josh Riedel tells us that the foot belongs to Systrom’s girlfriend. The dog's identity is unknown but it was found at this Mexican taco stand.
