What will mobile communication of the future look like? Google thinks it could be a pair of glasses; IBM favors mind-reading gadgets.
What will the future of communication look like? Here's one futuristic one from designer Federico Ciccarese, that envisions we'll be wearing our mobile phones on our hands like a glove. Instead of a touchscreen slab that’s held in the palm, the “iPhone 5 new” features a curved design that’s actually worn on the back of your hand. It’s held in place by five slim and somwhat creepy “legs” which wrap between your fingers and around the wrist.
The main “phone” design looks like the iPhone app array, but has a curved casing and it appears to be flexible. Ciccarese look like he is channeling Sony’s color e-paper here.
And we just love the renders for this, it's got a very sci-fi look to it, but also, quite creepy as well, when left alone and not worn. It looks like a spider. What do you think? It's cool looking but would you use it if it were real?
