Rumor has it that Facebook is developing a new "Want" button that would allow you to add products to a virtual wish list. This could be our first glimpse of that button.
He embedded the code last week onto his personal blog and it has since turned from an error code into a clickable “Want” button. This is it:
“The button has been updated since last week, so it’s definitely been worked on,” Waddington said. “This shows that it’s still under active development, rather than being a ditched project.”
The new coding would allow users to share product purchases, or charitable donations or even items purchased within Facebook games and more. It's basically increasing the idea of social commerce, of which Facebook seems to be taking more seriously now.
“In the same way music, news and videos are shared on the site, Facebook is planning to allow users to share both Wants and Purchases, from items bought within games to donations.”
Facebook hasn't said anything about the new feature just yet but they did say:
“We’re always looking for new features for the platform,” “However, we have nothing new to announce.”
Not yet that is. What do you think of a "Want" button?
