Social reading app Flipboard has just announced that the New York Times subscribers will be able to read all the paper's content through the app, on any platform from this Thursday onwards.

Flipboard has only offered previews of magazines and newspaper articles with a link for readers to their official websites for full content. The NYT is the first big publisher that has given it full access to its "premium" content.

It's also the first time that the Times has ever given a third party organization full access to all its content. All Things D says that the paper wants to emulate cable TV's "TV everywhere" strategy and to do so subscribers can read the paper on any device or software they want.
