Here's one interesting way of combining two things into one. A three step ladder that disappears into a front facade of a shelf. That way, you maximize your storage space at home without requiring you to fetch a step ladder every time you need something off the top tier.
Of course, you can also put it at a place where you would actually need the ladder to reach to say, a vent at the top perhaps, or to change a light bulb. Designed by Karen King, it goes for $2,350 with a choice of hickory, ash or oak finishes. Not exactly cheap.
