Because he can. The man from Oracle is freaking wealthy and he's bought a lot of things with his money. Yachts, mansions, golf courses, now an island. It was reported that he paid between $500 million and $600 million for 98 percent of an island in Hawaii.
What will he do with the island? Have a challenge with Richard Branson's Necker island perhaps?
We're still waiting to see what he's doing with the island — hopefully it will be dinosaur related. But in the meantime, we've tracked down some of the rest of Larry Ellison's ridiculous portfolio.
