Microsoft's Surface Tablet is powerful enough to replace your PC, and it is in fact both a tablet and a PC. It will be available in two versions and it ships later this year. One is the Windows RT and the other the Windows Pro, running a full version of Windows 8.
How does it compare to the iPad, the current tablet maker leader. There are no full specs just yet, and since Microsoft didn't release any information on pricing or availability just yet it's hard to fully compare it to other tablets in the market.
They did say that the suggested retail pricing will be announced closer to availability and is expected to be competitive.
Both Surface devices are expected to be released to manufacturing this summer, and possibly available to the public by late summer.
