As expected, the smartphone will soon be able to replace most point and shoots. Everything in one sort of device. and the iPhone for that matter has a pretty good camera, that is until you compare it with Nokia's monster 41 megapixel one. Anyhow, smartphone cameras don't have the flexibility of a camera, like a semi pro one, with interchangeable lenses. But now, Apple has filed a patent for an iPhone with swappable glass.
The lens would be part of a removable back panel, and according to Engadget, there could be multiple lenses available on a single panel.
What do you think? Would point and shoots be obsolete soon because of smartphones' cameras?
