Robot hand creator "hairygael" has challenged viewers to "print and built your own" in a YouTube video. It shows you how to make a 3D printed hand. which is admittedly, quite cool. Though its not the sort of DIY project that's simple enough for most.

The powerful robot hand can grasp a ball, screwdriver or drill, and the fingers are controlled by a keyboard or joystick.

The hand creator operates the blog InMoov and notes that you can build this robotic hand with a 3D printer and some building skills.

Weighing about 1.8 pounds, it’s formed by a 3D printer called the BFB 3D touch, which looks like this:

On the site DesktopFab, this retails for $3,930. Expensive! Would you be up for the challenge?
