Sergey Brin has been wearing the Google Glasses prototype ever since Google started showing it off in april. Now, there's more info on how it works via California Lietenant Governor and former San Francisco mayor Gavin Newsom.

Thanks to Brin and Newsom, we now know its just a trackpad. Newsom had Brin as a guest on his Current TV show. The episode will air this Friday, but Current has released a short extract, which you can see in the video above.

Watch closely and you’ll see the trackpad appears to swipe in two directions — side to side to view the picture gallery, and up or down to exit and enter the gallery.

“The image was remarkably clear,” Newsom told Wired. “You can easily forget you have them on, and sense the capacity of use in the future.”
