What do you think is the world's oldest musical instrument? Scientists think they found it. Dating 42,000 to 43,000 years old, its a bunch of flutes from a cave in southern Germany. Found by a team from Oxford University, one was made from bird bone, and the other from mammoth ivory.

The researchers believe that musical instruments could have been used for either recreation or religious rituals. A wooly mammoth's tusk for a flute? Who would have thought?
