It's no wonder that college students are becoming more tech savvy. In a research compiled by Presta Electronics more than 90% use email to communicate with their professors and 73% of them say they cannot study without technology. Seven in 10 take notes on keyboards instead of paper as well.

The dependency on tech is also very high. At least 38% of students can’t go more than 10 minutes without checking their smartphone or other device. Students spent $13 billion on electronics in 2009.
