Panasonic has been testing the future of hair care with its robot shampooer. Its now available for public to try at selected salons in Japan, and the company is hoping to gain customer feedback before it launches it for commercial purchase.
Using 24 articulated artificial fingers the robot first 'feels' the customer's head to determine its size and shape, and then applies a pre-lathered shampoo before giving the head a thorough scrubbing.
The robot can rinse hair, apply conditioner during a massaging mode and even blow dry your hair for you. All while you read a magazine - at least, in version 2.0. [YouTube via Fareastgizmos]
