The amount of Android phones running Ice Cream Sandwich, Android's latest OS, is up 0.6 percent from 2.9 percent, and it'll likely be higher by the release of updates for the Samsung Galaxy S II and HTC sensation family of devices.

But still, Gingerbread is supreme, with 63.7 percent of Android devices running that version of the OS. Its growth, however, seems to be finally slowing. Call it fragmentation or flexibility, app developers can use these stats to plan their releases going forward.
