David Hanson's first Zeno humanoid robot toy back in 2007 was hoping to sell it for $300. Too bad that didn't happen, because five years later the first production versions are costing $11,500.
Robokind is no longer positioned as a toy just for the rich, instead it's original cartoony face has been made to realistically appeal to children. The robot will most likely be used for research and therapy with autistic youth. Hanson hasn't given up on his affordable toy just yet and promises a smaller version.
