A website in Japan called Gokiten, aka Cockroach Weather takes in to account the current weather conditions by determining how likely you'll come across a cockroach in your day. Sounds absurd?

Various regions of Japan are color coded in the Cockroach Index, or Cockdex as they call it. It includes the rates of likelihood of increased roach activity in that area. Can you really tell the "forecast" of the day by counting how many roaches you come across? And are there really so many roaches in Japan?
