Have you ever had to cut wire so thick, it took you really long to do it? Milwaukee's new power cable cutter will be able to do that job for you in a jiffy. All you have to do is pull the trigger, and the tool will bite down on cords with up to 5,000 pounds of pressure. You never ever want to put your finger in there.

The cutters have enough force to cut through 4/0 (four aught) wire. Which is the thickest solid copper wire manufactured. 4/0 is basically a flexible bar of metal nearly half inch in diameter. Which means, it's one of the fattest, if not the fattest.

The tool arrives for $429 in mid-September, and it will also be able to take on aluminum, SER cables, G-Type, paired communication cable, and underground cables. [Milwaukee]
