Riding a bike at night is dangerous, and even though dressing yourself in bright colors and wearing reflective gear might be effective, one should consider wearing the LumaHelm because it will illuminate your head.

While you might look like a space man in the night with blinking LEDs, the row of lights are useful. They can act as brake lights for when you stop, turn signals and when you want to make a turn and anything else you want to do. The helmet is interactive!

Developed by Wouter Walmink, Alan Chatham and Floyd Mueller of Exertion Game Labs, the LumaHelm uses an accelerometer to determine what signal to blink out from a simple head tilt. Check out the video of it in action below: [YouTube via Fashioning Tech via UberGizmo]
