This isn't the sort of toy you'd want your kid playing around with. But its the sort of toy you would want to play with instead. Its a remote controlled giant robot and was developed by some clever Japanese engineers. Bringing anime into reality!
The group, Suidobashi Heavy Industry has created a 12 feet, 5 inch tall robot called Vaudeville that can be controlled using a smartphone that uses Microsoft Kinect sensor technology. The robot is pretty damn heavy too. It weighs 5 tons and its movements are fluid, but slow, and the mechanism is still in its early stages. Let's wait for version 2!
The group also plans to offer custom versions of the robot for sale in the near future. You can see the Vaudeville robot in action in the video below.
