Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer has promised not to "screw up" Tumblr. It remains to be seen if any of the site's users will be fleeing.

As for advertising on Tumblr, there's not much to screw up yet. It's ad units are so new, they also face other obstacles as well as including an ambivalence towards advertising. There's also a lack of metrics and a platform that lets you do marketing outreach for free.

YouTube says that it has over 100 hours of video uploaded to the site every minute. That means, 6,000 hours of video every hour and 144,000 hours of video every day. So much! Too much!
